  • Vodafone's Rs. 158 Prepaid plan.
Vodafone has introduced two new prepaid packs that offer 1GB high speed data per day & unlimited voice calls for 28 days. The 158 pack offers unlimited voice calls(250 mins/day and 1,000 mins/week) and 1 GB 4G/3G data per day for 28 days and the second plan is priced at Rs. 151 and offers unlimited voice calls and a total of 1GB 4G/3G data per day for 28 days. Both these packs are currently available in the kerala circle. 
While the tarrif pack has'nt yet been launched in other major telecom circles including Delhi NCR and Mumbai, Vodafone's Rs. 198 prepaid pack applicable in these areas and most other telecom circles offers unlimited voice calls, 1.4 GB 4G/3G data per day & 100 SMS/day for 28 days.
  • Starting from July 1, M2M Mobile Numbers Will have 13 Digits.

In an effort to provide better security features, the Department of Telecom (DoT) has issued a directive instructing all telecom operators in the country to start issuing 13-digit mobile numbers to M2M customers. The numbers of the existing users will be ported to 13-digits starting from October 2018. The deadline for completion of the same has been set for December 31, 2018. The telecom operator further said "It is decided that 13-digit M2M(Machine-to-Machine) numbering plan will be implemented from July 1,2018. from this date onwards, all new M2M mobile connections will be allocated 13-digit numbers only and the migration of existing 10-digit M2M numbers will start from 1st October 2018 and shall be completed by 31st December 2018.
  • Whatsapp for windows phone Beta gets Stickers and live location sharing features.

A good news for windows phone users..... Whatsapp has been spotted testing Stickers on the 2.18.24 beta version for Windows Phone. So, the Windows users may soon get a new feature to spice up their chats with more than just emojis to express themselves better. Along with this new Sticker feature, the new beta update also brings the live location sharing feature which the Android and iPhone users are using for a long time. But the stickers feature has not been spotted on Android or iPhone yet. These features are expected to be rolled out on the Stable build in the coming weeks.
  • Redmi Note 5 Pro Scores Huge on the AnTuTu benchmark.

Last week, Xiaomi launched its Redmi Note 5 Pro which is a new member of the Redmi note series. The phone comes with a brand new processor, the Snapdragon 636 which made its global debut with the Note 5 Pro. The snapdragon 636 is based on the latest SoC design architectures and efficient cores meant to maximize performance while taking care of the power management.

A report from Android Central states that the Redmi Note 5 Pro has gathered an overall score of 112649 on the AnTuTu benchmark which is a pretty impressive score for a budget midrange chipset. While the Redmi Note 5 powered by the snapdragon 625 could only gather a score 77236. The major factor behind this impressive high score is the Xiaomi's optimized MIUI.
