Yesterday at 10:30 pm Samsung launched its new Flagship Smartphones; the Galaxy S9 and the S9+. Both the devices have a lot to offer and have some new and upgraded features as compared to the S8 and the S8+. So lets start and have a look at the detailed specs of both the devices.

  • Screen- The Galaxy S9 has a 5.8 inch 18.5:9 display and the S9+ has a 6.2 inch display with the same aspect ratio. Both the displays are QHD+ Super AMOLED displays with a resolution of 2960*1440 pixels and also we have the Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and the back of both the phones.
  • OS and Processor-  Both these phones are powered by the Snapdragon 845/Exynos 9810 processor (depending upon your region). Both these processors are beasts in terms of performance and the GPU is the Adreno 630 with SD 845 and Mali G72 with Exynos 9810. So there is compromise with performance and we have all types of sensors and even the heart rate sensor for monitoring our health. Talking about the OS, we are get the Latest Android Oreo.
  • Cameras- Lets talk about the cameras now afterall the tagline of this phone is the Camera reimagined. The Galaxy S9 has a 12 MP rear and a 8 MP front camera and the Galaxy S9+ has a 12+12 MP dual rear camera Setup ( one wide angle and one telephoto lens ) and the 8 MP front camera. Samsung has introduced  for both models what they are calling dual aperture; the ability to monitor light levels and change apertures between f/2.4 for daylight and a record breaking f/1.5 in low light. The phone takes 12 photos every single time you click the camera shutter button and only selects the best pixels from each of the photos. The galaxy S9+ is more capable of taking good photos due to the dual lens setup. The phone also has a super slow motion mode which lets you to record  a slowmotion video in 960 fps. 
  • Battery- The Battery on the S9 and the S9+ are identical as the S8 and S8+ i.e. 3000 mAh for the shorter  and 3500 mAh for the larger one. And both the phones support fast charging and also fast wireless charging.
  • RAM and Storage- For the Galaxy S9, we have 4 GB RAM and for the Galaxy S9+, we have 6GB of RAM. There are three storage variants to choose from in both the phone; you can choose between 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB of storage.
  • Some other features- Samsung has improved the positioning of the fingerprint scanner and now the fingerprint scanner is located just below the rear camera and is more easily accessible. The security on this phone is more improved; the device uses both the Iris scanner and face recognition at the same time to unlock the phone and there are no chances that someone can fool your device by just showing it your photo. Bixby has also made a huge return and its smarter than before. We also have dual speaker on the S9 and the S9+. one of the speakers is located at the bottom of the device and the other speaker is present the earpiece.


You'll get the S9 and S9+ in Four colours, the Midnight Black, Coral Blue, Grey and a new colour called Lilac Purple. 
Overall the Galaxy S9 and S9+ are the improved versions of the Galaxy S8 and S8+.  We get Improved Cameras, an improved Processor, improved security, improved speakers and many more. Right now we don't know about the pricing of the devices but we'll let you know as soon as we'll get to know.
