Honor Play with GPU Turbo and 4D Gaming experience launched.

Honor Play has been launched with AI dual rear cameras and gaming focused features.

Huawei's sub-brand Honor has recently announced the Honor Play in China. This Smartphone is company's latest top-end Smartphone which comes with a GPU Turbo graphics processing acceleration technology that will increase the GPU's efficiency for mobile phones for smoother and faster performance experience, especially for mobile gaming. 

  • Specification Highlights - 6.3 inch FHD+ display, Android 8.1 with EMUI 8.2, Kirin 970 processor, 16+2 MP dual rear cameras and a 16 Mp front camera, 3750 mAh battery, 4 GB/6 GB of RAM and 64 GB internal storage.

Honor Play sports a 6.3 inch 19.5:9 LCD display with a Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution, a display notch and 85% NTSC color gamut. It comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with Huawei's custom EMUI 8.2. The handset is powered by the Kirin 970 SoC which is an octa-core CPU based on 10 nm FinFET technology and has a max clock speed of 2.36 GHz and is paired with Maki-G72 GPU. It comes with up to 6 GB of RAM, NPU as well as GPU Turbo Graphics processing acceleration technology.
It also has 4D gaming experience with real-time recognition of the game scene that vibrates the phone to intelligent match up to 30 different senses promising more realistic game scene experience.

Talking about the cameras, it has AI powered dual rear cameras, one of them is a 16 MP primary shooter with an aperture of f/2.2 and has PDAF and CAF. The second rear camera is a 2 MP lens for collecting depth information and it has an aperture of f/2.4. For selfies, Honor Play offers a 16 Mp camera with f/2.0 aperture. The primary rear camera sensor has AI scene recognition that can detect 500 scenes and the 16 MP front camera uses pixel binning technology, combining four pixels to create one large 2 μm pixel.

The phone has a metal body and under the hood, it packs a 3750 mAh battery with fast charging support. It has a fingerprint sensor present on the back panel and for connectivity, it has a type-C port, Bluetooth 4.2, a 3.5 mm jack, 7.1-channel Histen audio, Dual Band WiFi (2.4 GHz/5 GHz) and dual 4G VoLTE support. 

Honor Play will be available in Black, Blue and Violet color options and will have 64 GB on-board storage which is expandable up to 256 GB. The phone is priced at CNY 1999 ( Rs 21,000 approx. ) for the 4 GB/64 GB variant and if you want the 6 GB/64 GB variant of the hone, you'll have to pay a sum of CNY 2399 ( Rs 25,100 approx. ). It will go on sale in China, tomorrow.
