Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X..... Highly Overpriced??

Blackberry Evolve and Evolve X launched with Dual rear Cameras and 18:9 display....

So yesterday Blackberry held at event in India and in that event, they launched their two new smartphones - The Blackberry Evolve X and Evolve. What you get to see in these Smartphones is a good hardware (or I should say a balanced hardware), good Cameras and bigger batteries. But I don't recommend you to buy these Smartphones at all. Why?? Lets see...

  • Blackberry Evolve X - Specifications :
Blackberry Evolve X features a 5.99 inch LTPS IPS LCD 18:9 display with a Full HD+ (1080 x 2160 pixels) resolution and comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. It is powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC which is a powerful CPU and is paired with the Adreno 512 GPU. It comes with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of on-board storage which is expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card.

In terms of Cameras, Evolve X sports dual rear cameras that includes a 12 MP primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture & 1.4 microns pixels and a 13 MP secondary camera with an aperture of f/2.6 and 1.0 micron pixels). The front camera is a 16 MP Fixed Focus shooter with an aperture of f/2.0 and 78-degree Field of View.

Under the hood it has a 4,000 mAh battery which supports wireless charging. For security, it comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor with a claimed unlock time of 0.3 seconds and also these two phones are the first phones from Blackberry to have facial unlocking feature with a claimed unlock time of 0.4 seconds. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM Radio and GPS.
  • Blackberry Evolve - Specifications :
The display and OS of the Blackberry Evolve are the same as that of Evolve X so we'll not be discussing about it. Blackberry Evolve is powered by Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with Adreno 506 GPU and 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of on-board storage which is expandable via microSD card.

The cameras on the Blackberry Evolve are a bit different from that on the Evolve X. The front camera is totally the  same and the dual rear camera setup includes two 13 MP cameras; one of them is a Monochrome lens and the other one is a RGB lens and both the lenses have an aperture of f/2.0.

It comes with a 4,000 mAh battery under the hood but this phone does not support wireless charging. The connectivity options and the security options remain the same so just refer to the specifications of Evolve X.

Now talking about the price of Evolve and Evolve X; Evolve X is priced at Rs 34,990 and Blackberry Evolve is priced at Rs 24,990. Now I'll not say anything, you all decide whether these phones are worth their price or not.

So this was all for this blog. Stay tuned and I'll catch you all in our next blog.
