LG G7+ ThinQ launched in India..... Is it too late??

LG G7+ ThinQ launched in India with a display notch and Snapdragon 845 SoC....

LG G7+ ThinQ was Globally launched in May and finally LG launched it in India on Monday. It is a really good Smartphone and comes with Qualcomm's most powerful SoC i.e. the Snapdragon 845. It comes with a 19.5:9 screen and is priced at Rs 39,999 in India. The pricing is very aggressive and it offers a lot for this price, so lets get into it without wasting much time.

  • LG G7+ ThinQ - Specifications :
The LG G7+ ThinQ sports a 6.1 inch QHD+ (1440 x 3120 pixels) FullView Super Bright display with a brightness of up to 1,000 nits. There is a 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut. it comes with Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box and is powered by the very powerful Snapdragon 845 SoC which is an octa-core CPU clocked at up to 2.8 GHz and is paired with the Adreno 630 GPU.

The camera department of the G7+ ThinQ consists of a dual-rear camera setup and a single 8 MP wide-angle front camera with an aperture of f/1.9. The rear camera setup consists of a 16 MP primary camera with an aperture of f/1.9 and a 107 degree field of view. LG has also offered AI features with the cameras that bring 19 shooting modes and three preset effects; it also has support for bokeh effect and Live Photo mode.

Under the hood, it packs a 3,000 mAh battery which is smaller in comparison to its competitors but the good news is that it does support fast charging. The connectivity options on the G7+ ThinQ include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, FM Radio and most importantly a 3.5 mm audio jack. The security options include a rear-mounted Fingerprint sensor and a face recognition system.

The smartphone also comes with a 7.1- channel DTS : 3D Surround sound support along with a Boombox speaker and Hi-Fi Quad DAC. The phone comes with 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of on-board storage (expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card).

  • Price in India :
LG G7+ ThinQ is priced at Rs 39,999 in India and will be sold exclusively via Flipkart from the 10th of August.
So, it is a good competition for the OnePlus 6 but LG is kind of late with the launch of its new Flagship in India this time because OnePlus 6 and the Asus Zenfone 5Z have already captured the whole market. Still, thumbs up to LG for launching the phone at a really competitive price.
